KareShift is built for Ontario care providers (Passport Program, MLTC) and our compliance labels and content are focused on Ontario. Scheduling, GPS clock-in and care documentation are not province-specific, but province-specific compliance templates beyond Ontario are not offered yet. Quebec is not supported (the interface is English only).
Canadian tax rates vary by province (Ontario 13% HST, Alberta 5% GST, BC 12%, Quebec ~15%, etc.). The correct rate is calculated automatically at checkout based on your province. All displayed prices exclude tax.
The 90-day trial covers up to 5 workers (30 beds for long-term care) with no credit card required. It includes everything except payroll export, which needs a paid Scale or Long-Term Care plan. At the end of your trial, choose the plan that fits.
No. KareShift is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime with no penalties or exit fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
All care data is stored in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2, Australia). Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). KareShift is built to support your PIPEDA and PHIPA obligations; transferring personal information outside Canada is a decision your organisation remains responsible for, and you should confirm it fits your own obligations. A Canadian data region (AWS ca-central-1, Montreal) is planned for organisations that require Canadian data residency. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
